30 years ago, Pirate: Contemporary Art opened in Denver, Colorado as an audacious and eclectic alternative, cooperative gallery.

Today, little has changed - although our space has gotten slightly smaller and our front door relocated about 50 feet south of the corner. Many member artists have come and gone, but Pirate persists. It's an institution that remains flexible and edgy.

Pirate is open Friday evenings from 6 - 10 PM, Saturday& Sunday Noon to 5PM.
If you need to visit us at a time we are not open we suggest you contact the showing artist at that time (listed on our calendar page) to arrange for a private viewing

Come join us on December the 16th and help us celebrate our
