Remember... during your show you are responsible for
the sitting of the gallery, associates - it is important for you to
participate in gallery sitting as well, this is your opportunity to
represent yourself and your work! It is recommended that all exhibiting
artists communicate with each other to arrange gallery sitting schedules
during your show, as well as opening reception needs and wants. Get
in touch with each other at least 2 weeks prior to your opening.

We have a small but growing email list which I try to send evites to a few days prior to your show which includes dates, times etc. If you would like to include an image, please send me one in a timely manner. Make it a small file, no larger than 100 kb. - Craig

HANGING YOUR SHOW
>There are some nails and screws upstairs.
>Pedestals are located upstairs and in the closet underneath the stairs. Please put them back where you found them when you are done with your show. There is a specific paint for them: more of a semi-gloss. contact Matt if you can't find it.
>We do provide light bulbs. There should always be a supply of 90-watt spots and floods. If you notice that we are low or if you use the last one, contact Phil.
>make sure there is plenty of tp, papertowels and soap for the bathroom.
>Ladders are in the breezeway at the back of the building. Put them in the same location when done with them.
OPENING NIGHT
You should provide beverages and maybe some food for your guests. This is an expense you must bear so how elaborate you chose to be is up to you.
Put out the donation suitcase. This money goes to support the co-op and helps to keep our dues low. Phil does stop by during the evening to collect any funds that have been donated so don't freak out when you see him doing it.
Make sure the guest book is out so that we can collect email addresses.
Tables and chairs can be found in the breezeway behind the building. This area needs to be free from trash, neatly organized and that all ladders need to be placed without interfering with gas and plumbing lines.
SITTING YOUR SHOW
Required items
Things that you must do during your show:
-- check for messages on the phone, handle them or write a note or call to relay the information
-- check the mail; open anything important and pass it on or trash it if it is junk mail
--keep stairway and phone clear of trash and misc. items that create a
tripping hazard
--organize the space between the two galleries; keep clean and remove any old invites laying around (includes mop room)
--keep the front of the building free of trash, dirt and weeds (or snow)
Things that must be done at the end of your show:
--
putty holes, sand/sponge out putty and paint with established paint
-- bag up trash and put it in the dumpster (key is by the phone). put a new liner in the trashcan.
-- sweep and mop the floors
-- clean the bathroom; toilets and floor
Other stuff to do when sitting the gallery:
There are always things that can be done around the building the will benefit all of us so don't be afraid to take some initiative. If you think that the loft needs to be organized or you find a minor repair you can handle, please do it.
As a cooperative we HAVE to work together to get things done! Every
little bit helps!!
