"One day someone showed me a glass of water that was half full.
And he said, " Is it half full or half empty?"
So I drank the water. No more problem."
-Alejandro Jodorowsky
The Artist
My work is a process of engagement and transformation of materials and self. The images and forms that I make come from an intuitive reaction to a combination of life experiences and inner psychic processes. The interplay of the patina of time, elemental forces and the marks and manipulations on materials I make as an artist become important visual evidence of my process. Mythological along with architectural motifs and elements are also an important part of what I am working with as I examine the sediments and expressions of the human psyche and the relationships between who and where I am now and the history that has played out to provide the stage we are all currently dancing on.
